This is what I did today....

A very good friend of mine is a dance teacher at the University. Last year I did photos of her dancers in the snow for her piece that she choreographed for the Orchesis Dance Motif 2010.  She asked me to do it again, this time we were inside and her piece is about the iphone and technology, I hope you enjoy these photos and I cannot wait to see them up on stage dancing and my photo's too of coarse...

We do not see each other often and when we do, its random and not planned...  It feels like no time has passed and we can pick up like its that we both have kids I hope that they may be friends like when we were little,  Enjoy Renee... 3 weeks old...

I think I have a Broadway Kid....

I play music all the time, and my solution to not watching movies 24/7 is to get the soundtrack... Well Oliver knows every song from the Lion King and How to Train you Dragon( Instrumental)  albums...and makes up little routine's and act's them out... I love it... Husband not so much I think, hockey is what he want's him to try... He tells me one day" I tried all the gear on him at the store and Oliver loved it" my response, "yeah, because its dress up...  anyways, I love this photo of Oliver with his Jazz hands... Broadway maybe!

Love Life...

I was very lucky this year and met some really wonderful people...  When I do a photo session I spend about and hour and a bit with a family...  I feel like I get to know them, connect with them and even become friends with them.
I took photo's for the Pawluk family in October and we had a beautiful day and I got some awesome photos... and even got a Facebook friend... as you all know with FB you see updates and photos and read things about people that you dont even talk too, and I noticed that something was up with this family...
It seemed all to familiar, because I saw my sister go through the same thing 4 years ago with my twin neice's...  Brinley was diagnosed with Leukemia a few weeks ago, 1 week into treatment.. and it brought back some memories that I as a Sister had to watch my sister deal with something you may never imagine....My neice's are great, both in remission.  I love taking photos, and know that it was something I could do as a gift from me to this family that they will have forever... it will be a bumpy ride, but there is so much light at the end of the tunnel.. and look at this little girl, kids are so brave and resilient... Thank you for letting me come to your home and take these photo's...
